Terms of Use

Purpose and scope

These terms explain how CasinoCheck Ethiopia may be used. They apply to visitors who read information, compare gambling operators, contact the site, or use any feature made available through the service.

The content is intended for general information and player awareness. It is not a licence, approval, legal opinion, financial recommendation or promise that any operator will accept an account, process a payment or honour a withdrawal. Gambling decisions remain the visitor’s responsibility.

By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully, honestly and in a way that does not interfere with other visitors or the operation of the site. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service.

Information about gambling regulation

The Ethiopian Lottery Service states that it issues licences and regulates private lottery activity under its establishing framework. The Ministry of Justice registry lists Sports Betting Lottery Licensing Directive No. 856/2014 under the National Lottery Administration. These records describe regulatory institutions and a listed directive; they do not, by themselves, confirm that a particular operator is licensed today.

Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation reported an Ethiopian Lottery Service announcement that all sports-betting organisation licences were revoked with effect from 15 December 2025. A July 2026 report recording an Ethiopian Lottery Service warning stated that no sports-betting operator was currently licensed in Ethiopia and included the reporting hotline 9695.

Regulatory status can change. Before depositing, registering or sharing personal information, check current information from the competent authority and confirm the precise operator identity, domain and licence position. Where evidence is incomplete or conflicting, treat the position as unconfirmed rather than assuming that a brand is authorised.

For a practical review of licensing questions, see Legal checks. The information there should also be read with the current official records.

What the information does and does not establish

The service may summarise public records, operator statements, user signals and other source material. Those categories are not equivalent. An official record is different from a statement made by an operator, while a user report is an allegation or personal account rather than proof of a regulatory breach.

A reference to an operator, payment method, promotion, domain or complaint is not an endorsement. The presence of a name in a review does not establish that the operator is licensed, reliable, available in Ethiopia or suitable for a particular visitor. No conclusion should be drawn beyond the evidence identified for that specific claim.

Dates matter. A source checked on one date may not describe the position later. Historical information must not be read as current confirmation. The service may identify unknowns, limitations or unresolved differences instead of presenting an answer as certain.

Your responsibilities as a visitor

You are responsible for checking whether gambling is lawful and available to you before using an operator. You are also responsible for reading the operator’s own terms, verifying its identity and understanding its requirements for registration, deposits, withdrawals, identity checks, bonuses and account closure.

Do not rely on a review as a substitute for independent checks. Do not provide passwords, one-time codes, payment credentials or identity documents through an unverified contact channel. Be cautious of copied domains, misleading advertisements, impersonation and requests for urgent payment.

You must provide truthful information when contacting the service and must not use it to harass, threaten, defraud, scrape, overload or disrupt systems. Do not attempt unauthorised access, submit malicious code, impersonate another person or misuse contact forms. You must comply with laws and age restrictions that apply to you.

Accounts, contact and submissions

If a feature requires an account, you must keep access details confidential and provide accurate information. You remain responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

Messages, corrections and reports should be relevant, specific and capable of being assessed. Include the operator name, exact domain, dates and supporting material where appropriate, while removing unnecessary personal data. Do not send another person’s confidential information unless you have a lawful reason to do so.

A submission may be reviewed for relevance, accuracy, safety and editorial suitability. Receipt of a message does not mean that it will be published, accepted as fact or answered within a particular period. The service may decline, edit or remove material that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, irrelevant, unsafe or unsupported.

For concerns about an operator or a gambling transaction, use Complaints. For questions about how claims are assessed, consult Methodology.

Accuracy, changes and availability

Reasonable care is used to present information clearly, but no guarantee is made that every statement is complete, error-free, uninterrupted or current at all times. Sources may be unavailable, corrected, withdrawn or updated. A missing record on the service is not proof that an event did not occur, and a listed allegation is not proof that it is true.

Content, features, links and these terms may be changed, suspended or withdrawn without advance notice. A change does not retrospectively convert an unsupported claim into evidence. When a material question affects money, identity or legal status, rely on the latest competent primary record rather than an old summary.

External services may have their own terms, privacy notices and security practices. A link or reference does not transfer responsibility for those services to CasinoCheck Ethiopia. Review the destination carefully before sharing information or taking action.

Liability and responsible use

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CasinoCheck Ethiopia is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on general information, operator conduct, payment delays, account restrictions, inaccurate third-party statements, unavailable services or decisions made by a visitor. Nothing in these terms removes a right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Information about gambling can encourage risky decisions if it is used carelessly. Do not chase losses, borrow money to gamble or treat gambling as income. Set limits before playing and stop if gambling is affecting finances, relationships, work or wellbeing. Visit Responsible gambling for support-oriented information.

The service does not hold player funds, operate betting accounts or decide whether an operator pays a claim. Any dispute about an account or transaction must be directed to the relevant operator and, where appropriate, the competent authority. The 9695 hotline is recorded in the supplied July 2026 report as an Ethiopian Lottery Service reporting channel; verify its current availability before relying on it.

Questions and interpretation

These terms should be read in plain language and together with any specific notice displayed when a feature is used. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. No failure to act immediately waives a right or remedy.

Is CasinoCheck Ethiopia a regulator?

No. The Ethiopian Lottery Service is the authority described in the supplied regulatory record. CasinoCheck Ethiopia provides information and does not issue licences, supervise operators or determine whether a betting account is valid.

Does a review prove that an operator is licensed?

No. A review can summarise identified evidence, but a brand mention is not current licensing confirmation. Check the precise operator and domain against current competent-authority records.

Are user complaints treated as proven facts?

No. A user report is treated as contextual information or an allegation unless a dated competent-source record establishes the underlying fact. The identity, date and supporting material should be considered before drawing a conclusion.

Can I rely on an old licence record?

No. A historical record may help explain the background but does not establish current authorisation. The supplied records include a report of licence revocations effective 15 December 2025 and a later warning that no sports-betting operator was currently licensed.

Where can I report a suspected unlicensed operator?

The supplied July 2026 report records the Ethiopian Lottery Service hotline 9695 for reporting. Confirm that the channel remains current, provide accurate details and avoid sending unnecessary passwords or payment information.

Can these terms replace legal advice?

No. They provide general rules for using the service and do not assess an individual’s legal position. Obtain qualified local advice for a specific dispute, contract, regulatory question or financial decision.
